Past Lives

Did I need a good cry? No. Did I have a good cry? Oh boy, did I. I’m so late to the game on this movie, but I finally saw it and was so moved by the amount of emotion that was conveyed with so few words. The actors were all about building tension through body language. There were these little gestures that just killed me: nervously adjusting your tucked-in shirt in a fit of insecurity or grabbing on to the handle of a suitcase for dear life while you build up the courage to say something. I can’t recommend this movie enough.
