I’m a big fan and regular listener of Vibe Check, the pop culture and news chat podcast hosted by Sam Sanders, Saeed Jones, and Zach Stafford. At the end of every episode each host names a thing that they love that’s keeping their vibes right that week (kinda like this here journal) and Saeed Jones always reads a poem. This has become my favorite part of the episode. This past week, Saeed read this banger from Lucille Clifton, who I was excited to discover is from Buffalo, NY — a place I have a soft spot in my heart for. Enjoy!
