Vacation
During the summer we tend to travel a lot and have friends come stay with us. All of which means, it can be difficult to keep a regular schedule — hence my break from writing here. But now I’m back! My last hurrah of the summer was I spent a week in early September with my family at a lakehouse in Connecticut having an honest-to-god vacation. I desperately needed a break after an incredibly hectic August where I worked crazy hours on a few different projects. So I spent the week or so after Labor Day having a proper vacation. No work, no plans, no commitments. Every morning I woke up early, made a cup of coffee, and headed out to the back porch of the house and read for an hour or so before the rest of my family woke up and got the day going. It was heaven.
